[Gpca-votes] Coordinating Committee Applications - UPDATE: CC MALE VACANCY

Hello SGA delegates,

Here is an update about the two CC vacancy elections. As mentioned on October 5 (below), emails that were sent to applications at cagreens.org were not transparent to those of us who needed to see them. The application emails were archived after a long delay on September 17, and not again until October 10 or shortly before. We were able to see earlier applications but not those received on August 10. Once the problem was identified, the revised CC Female Vacancy email was sent to all SGA delegates on October 6.

As to the revised CC Male Vacancy, the problem was that two additional applicants sent emails by the due date, but one of them had a question about the application/bio, and was apparently waiting to hear back before he sent it in. With the hope that the full application would be received very quickly, the CC Male Vacancy revision was delayed so that only one revision would be sent. The other candidate was also informed of the delay and asked to confirm his interest (though the confirmation was not required).

Five days have passed, and so a revised email will be sent out with the information available.

By the way, in order that the candidates can respond to questions, if they are not already SGA delegates, they are being added to the SGA email list as ex-officio, non-voting members.

We are fixing the problem, and making sure that all candidates who applied for either the female or male CC vacancies will be listed. You will see a revision soon. Thank you for alerting everyone to the problem.
