(It is not always as clear-cut as that last sentence, but again, there’s no value judgement in this obvious spoof of the situation)</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The underlying point- that our politics are being smothered in waves of money given to the 2 major parties- is one that the person-on-the-street ALSO intuitively gets, no matter what their political orientation.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Whether or not I have any constructive critiques or value-based judgements of the piece is irrelevant- to me the important and positive thing about this is that some of our hard-working candidates are taking innovative story-based approaches to campaigning. This piece does 2 things- it connects to the voter with a story-based narrative and delivers a simple well-known political message about big money & corruption that highlights the GP’s principled stand against those things.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">This piece would hold the attention of my non-political friends and contacts- and most of my political circle. I cannot remember any previous short Green political piece that would appeal to both constituencies.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">tl;dr- this is an effective campaign piece. The clear message is that the candidates only made the video because not enough people donated. In Marin County where I live, we have many Green elected officials and have a very affluent, very progressive population. Our Green elected officials struggled like warriors to get elected. Feinstein, Jill Stein, Ajamu Baraka, Cornel West (when things looked like he
might Go Green) and Luis Rodriguez (the GPCA's 2014 Gubernatorial candidate).
Based upon those interactions, I was impressed by the Green Party, effectively
going Green the following month. Since then, I have learned a lot about the
Green Party and its inner workings. I love how there is a high value on
