Community Cinema Presents a Free Community Screening of: Revenge of the Electric CarA film by Chris Paine Presented byITVS Community Cinema, San Francisco Public Library, Hands on Bay Area, and KQED By 2006, thousands of modern electric cars were destroyed by the same auto companies who built them. Now, only a few years later, the electric car is back from the dead, championed by a handful of people determined to remake the future. Post-screening discussion moderated by Owen Thomas, founding Editor of the Daily Dot. Panelists include: Robert Hayden (Manager of Transportation Programs and San Francisco EV Initiative) of SF Environment Andrea Kissack (Sr. Science Editor) of KQEDKavi Reddy (Youth Advisory Board Member) of Alliance for Climate Education (ACE)Revenge of the Electric Car airs on the Emmy Award-winning PBS seriesIndependent Lens in April 2012 (check local listings).
