<p>An 8.9 earthquake on the coast of Japan has triggered a tsunami
that is expected to hit San Francisco at 8:08 a.m.</p>
<p>The earthquake has cause severe damage in Japan, and the ensuing
tsunami has devastated farmland in the pacific island.</p>
<p>The National Weather Service issued the warning at 12:52 a.m. for
California. Hawaii has issued evacuation notices on the coastal
areas. Authorities in California are actively working to assess
the potential damage the tsunami may cause.</p>
<p>The Coast Guard asks citizens to stay away from the coast as it
is deemed not safe.</p>
