Ed Lee has cynically blocked CleanPowerSF and released a revised
Climate Action Strategy with CleanPowerSF unacceptably deleted
from it!</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"> </p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">On September 18,
2012, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, by a supermajority
vote, directed the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
(SFPUC) to launch the CleanPowerSF program. CleanPowerSF is
planned to immediately give San Franciscans the choice of 100%
clean electricity, and hire hundreds of workers to build community
projects to deliver 50% of that clean electricity from local
installations.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"> </p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">But outrageously,
Mayor Lee (who has received campaign support from the fossil fuel
utility Pacific Gas & Electric and its high paid political
consultant Willie Brown) has been using his leverage as mayor to
prevent CleanPowerSF from launching.</p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;">In his latest
attempt to interfere with CleanPowerSF, Mayor Lee has just
released a revised version of the city's Climate Action Strategy
with all references to CleanPowerSF removed!</p>
