I was just thinking, after watching the TV news, short coverage of the Democratic Party's Governor candidates that it could very well have been Matt Gonzalez, former Green Party member of San Francisco who ran for mayor of SF in 2003 against Newsom running for CA governor. The Democrats at that time brought in Bill Clinton and Bill Gore to San Francisco to campaign for Newsom, which caused many Democrats that were going to vote for Matt to vote Democrat. I just finished watching the community involvement Green Party video. Some talk of working with Democrats. Newsom is coming out strong for Single Payer. Listening/watching video lots of talk of Greens actively working for single payer legislation. Newsom cashing in on that baby. I don't know how long it's going to take for somebody in California Party to run for Governor, but I hope it's soon. Erik, I'm sorry, but you don't make sense. How are we going to vote and campaign for votes unless we know who the candidates are? I looked at Greenzine to find out who the California Green Party candidate/s is/are for Governor of California, and I found nothing until the current, recent emails. A draft agenda is now posted online at http://cagreens.org/ga/2017-11 /draft-agenda. The agenda will be updated with more details and links for some of the proposals, so check back.
Here is a list of each county’s allotted number of delegates <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wbBmspfpU5GB4C5I36mSPj86xV5djz-DHsbbKFLVY-4/edit?usp=sharing>. See below for a list of allotments for active counties. The number of delegates allotted for each county is calculated following GPCA bylaw 7-1 <http://www.cagreens.org/bylaws/2016-07-03#Section_7-1_Delegates> using the State of California's February voter count <http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/report-registration/ror-odd-year-2017/>. General Assembly delegates are one-time delegates who plan to attend the state meeting; they can be the same as, or different from, the Standing General Assembly delegates who participate in periodic on-line voting.
We ask that counties submit a list of their selected delegates to the State Meeting Planning Committee (agenda-team@cagreens.org) no later than Friday, Nov. 3rd.
Please be on the lookout for further notices with additional details as they become available. Please help make this GA successful and inclusive by spreading this information within your counties and committees
If you have any questions please send them to agenda-team@cagreens.org.
We hope to see everyone in Ventura County.
