Hi Jane, all, The answer to your question is that we now need to build alliances with the Peace and Freedom Party and strong progressives like Gayle McLaughlin so that we can start taking down the Democrats and Republicans. Supporting Peace and Freedom candidates, and candidates like Gayle, will get their support for us in return, and make us all stronger. This is especially important with the anti third party ‘Top-Two’ primary system in place in California. We need to build a movement to defeat the corporate parties, and we can’t do it alone. I believe there is a proposal in process to permit the state party to cross-endorse "non-corporate" party and NPP candidates (aka P&F Party and Gayle McLaughlin). Don't know if one is in this race. Regards, Thomas Leavitt On Mon, Mar 26, 2018, 1:29 AM Jane Jarlsberg <jjarlsberg@gmail.com> wrote:

I strongly support such a proposal. As much as I would have preferred that Gayle run as a Green, her grassroots noncorporate campaign is raising all the right issues and is totally worthy of our support. San Diego Greens are already working on her campaign along with the campaigns of our Green Party candidates. Ann Sent from my iPhone

I agree. The Same is true of the Peace and Freedom candidates for Treasurer (Kevin Akin), Controller (Mary Lou Finley) and Insurance Commissioner (Nathalie Hrizi). -----Original Message----- From: Ann Menasche <aemenasche@gmail.com> To: GPCA-SGA-Vote discussion <gpca-votes@sfgreens.org> Sent: Mon, Mar 26, 2018 11:32 am Subject: Re: [GPCA-SGA-Votes] Discuss ID 150: GPCA endorsement for Attorney General I strongly support such a proposal.
