Gavin Newsom is a political and economic conservative who represents the interests of big business -- yet, he's trying to reinvent himself as a crusading liberal, by taking credit for the accomplishments of his political rivals, the progressives who have been pushing most of the positive change in the city for the past few years. The largest example of this, is the program to provide universal healthcare to all San Franciscans.
