Hi all,

I just found out that  the SFPUC is ALSO having a surprise hearing this Wednesday to hear and possibly approve the JPower contract to build the CT plant. Commissioner Richard Sklar, who has been our most active supporter in fighting the plant, will be out of town.

Those of you who have not yet spoken at the SFPUC and those of us in leadership of the various campaigns fighting the plant should also attend that hearing to restate our opposition and to demand that the Commissioners make -no- decisions until Sklar returns.

Staff presentation, discussion and action related to matters addressed in the SFPUC Resolution No 07-0137, including the proposed San Francisco Electric Reliability Project (the Combustion Turbines (CTs) and related facilities), the JPower agreements and leases, and any related agreements, authorizations and permits required from other City Departments or federal, state or local agencies pertaining to this Project, and adopting findings pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act.
