Hi! John-Mark, I hope you are doing well. I came and spoke to the transportation committee a little over a year ago about the Bike Plan Update. I am writing with an update about the Update. After this year long process, we have 20 top projects that are scheduled for further design and implementation. I'm writing because we are looking for letters of support from community members and neighborhood organizations to the Department of Parking and Traffic Bicycle Program and the Board of Supervisors. These letters will help keep these projects moving forward and relay the necessity of these improvements. I am hoping that the Working Committee will write a letter in support of these top 20 project to the bicycle network. There are other important chapters to the bike plan that are moving forward but I am looking specifically for support around these 20 projects. I've attached a sample letter. You can either choose specific designs and streets that you are in support of by looking it up at www.sfbike.org/bikeplan or by writing a letter in support of general bicycle improvements to these streets/intersections.
