=v= While I am sympathetic to arguments and perspectives from these schools of thought, what does "from a socialist point of view" mean, exactly? I am still cringing from a presentation about transport policy last night by Berkeley's Andy Singer in which we all had to endure one member of the audience's tedious repetition of dogma from the 19th Century that never really engaged with the issues being discussed. =v= This is, in my experience, almost always the scenario with something labelled "a socialist point of view" in the U.S. I would of course be delighted if you mean something else. =v= I thought the whole point of the Green movement was to move forward from past ideological dogmas into, well, the 20th Century, at least. Would it not make more sense to discuss this from a *Green* point of view (4 pillars or 10 key values)? <_Jym_> Not left nor right, but forward.
