Hi all, First, I wanted to let you all know why I haven't been active for some months. I have been diagnosed with a chronic disease - ulcerative colitis - which is a inflammation of the colon. It isn't life threatening and mine is a relatively minor case - but it has absorbed a lot from me both mentally and physically. Then, more recently we have been threatened with eviction due to earthquake renovation - of course we have all of our legal rights, but we have to fight for them and this also is taking a lot of our time and energy. I do have some thoughts on the Rider's Union (among other things) - hopefully I can pull these together before the next meeting. Also, I don't know if people caught it - but there was a program on KPFA this morning on - Cuba and peak oil. Don't know the title - may be "the power of community" It deals with how the Cuban people coped after losing almost all of their oil supply. Has anyone seen this video - know how to get ahold of it.
