An event at the Bazaar Cafe on November 29: Jake is in
Jake is in for the event at the Bazaar Cafe on Nov. 29. Still waiting to hear from Ross. Also, Sami Sunchild at the Red Vi B&B is really eager to have us come back and do more events. I suggested an event with Peter Camejo in January (or whenever his book comes out) -- booksigning, etc. Sue ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Hey Sue- You can count Jake in! He will be there. How's the bowling? The Transportation Working Group of the San Francisco Green Party has been holding on-going free screenings of the documentary "The End of Suburbia," followed by panel discussions. Our panel discussions have included Richard Heinberg, author of "The Party's Over" and "Powerdown," as well as Peter Camejo, Ross Mirkarimi, Kate White (formerly of the Housing Action Coalition), Amber Crabbe (of TALC) and Leah Shahum. We are now planning on doing the same event at the Bazaar Cafe, hopefully on Tuesday, November 29 (if Les and Makiko agree to that date). We are inviting Jake to be a part of an informal discussion of energy issues and the city could respond to increasingly tight supplies of fossil fuels. We will also invite Ross Mirkarimi or Matt Gonzalez to participate in the discussion. We plan to start the movie at 7 p.m., and start the discussion at about 8:40 p.m. Please let us know soon (within seven days so that we can start advertising in the print and electronic media) if Jake can participate. Say hello to Betty for me! Sue
I can get the big TV/DVD player over to the venue on that evening. Let me know what else needs to go.
