Sue and all, Yes. It is proposed legislation in the form of a resolution to address and require the elimination of cross-park traffic through the Music Concourse, and possible regulate the use of a second garage entrance on Academy Drive. This second entrance was not supposed to happen at all, but the court just gave it a green light, so regulation may be the only way to control it's use. I have been assured that this resolution exists and is in draft form. Bruce Wolfe, John Rizzo and other Green Party activists have referred to this draft, but there is no discussion of how to achieve the support of the other Supervisors on this resolution. We really need to carry this message forward at City Hall because so many Green Party members were involved in creating the Pedestrian Oasis vision over seven years ago. Dave Snyder, John Rizzo, Howard Strassner, Denise D'Anne, and several other high profile Green Party members negotiated in good faith on behalf of the " environmental community" for an auto-free Pedestrian Oasis funded by private philanthropic donations. Everything they bargained for, in exchange for dropping city-wide opposition to the deYoung Garage, has been thrown out by the private garage contractor and the City. At this point, there will be no amenities for pedestrians, bicyclists and the disabled, unless Peskin, McGoldrick, Sandoval and the others muster the courage to stand up to the Mayor and to Warren Hellman and demand it. If these Democrats have any courage at all, now is the time for them to act like it. Greens owe them nothing in the way of compromise on this issue. Newsom was an original sponsor of Prop J, and the other Democrats on the Board approved a fraudulent Environmental Impact Report, and have towed their party line in the perpetration of this massive fraud on the voters and the taxpayers. This is a key Green Party issue, holding public officials accountable especially regarding bipartisan financial scams that threaten to burden the City general fund because there has been no discussion or proof of financial viability of the project. Our litigation bought us time to carry this message to City Hall and time for those Democrats including the Mayor to respond to the electorate. Whether or not they will respond depends on the success of those Green Party members who were instrumental in drafting Prop J in working with Ross now to implement a Music Concourse Surface Circulation Plan that benefits everyone by taking out the cross park traffic as Jake said could easily be done now.
