* Mass March & Rally to End the War, Saturday, Oct. 27, 11 a.m.
San Francisco Civic Center, Larkin & Grove streets -- March to Dolores Park, 18th & Dolores streets.
People around the globe have shouted for an end to the U.S. assault on Iraq, but Washington refuses to listen. With each passing month, the McCarthyite leader of the "Free World" recklessly sacrifices nearly 100 service-people and countless Iraqi lives each month, spending some 12-billion of our tax dollars on death, destruction and meyhem to establish political hegemony over the Middle East and control of the oil-rich region. Help make our voices heard. http://www.actionsf.org
+ If you can volunteer to help with the myriad tasks involved in organizing a successful march and rally, please take a moment to complete the form at http://www.oct27sf.org/dotnetnuke/Volunteer/tabid/58/Default.aspx. Or just show up by 9 a.m. at the Civic Center and come to the coalition table near the main stage.
+ Before the demonstration, the WestSide Green Club is hosting a peace breakfast 9-10:30 a.m. at the home of Nancy Lewis, 1339 27th Ave., between Irving and Judah. Eat while making signs to carry in the march; then together take the N-Judah down to the Civic Center. Bring family and friends. RSVPs appreciated, but not necessary: 415-661-5713. Or join them at the Civic Center - look for the SFGP banner - or at Dolores Park, where the Greens will be tabling. Call Sue for details at 415-601-9297.

* Halloween Happy Hour with Green School Board Commissioner Jane Kim, Tuesday, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m., 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna St.

The public financing program implemented for the mayoral race in San Francisco is currently under threat from a proposal coming out of the mayor's office, which would move half of the money to another program. We need all supports to show the Ethics Commission that San Francisco wants to protect campaign-reform financing! http://www.voterownedelections.org/

* SFGP Election Newspaper Distribution, Now until Election Day
Help us distribute our first-ever San Francisco Green Party Election Newspaper at transit stops and elsewhere throughout the city. Call Sue at 415-601-9297 or 415-668-3119 to arrange a pick-up time from our office, 1028-A Howard St., between 6th and 7th streets

BECOME A SUSTAINER FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO GREEN PARTY!
The San Francisco Green Party has been hard at work interviewing candidates, poring over ballot initiatives, deliberating over endorsements and drafting statements regarding the November 2007 election. All of this work is being done exclusively by volunteers.

Also this year, for the first time, the SFGP is drafting a newspaper with statements explaining the positions and endorsements we are taking for the November election. Our hope is to mail this newspaper to every registered Green in San Francisco. Reaching every Green with this newspaper will help guarantee a high voter turnout among Green Party members for this important election.
Mailing and printing this newspaper will cost thousands of dollars. Please help us out in this effort by becoming a Green Party sustainer, or making a one time donation!

Your generous contribution now will help us finish the year on strong financial footing and get a jump-start on the 2008 elections. There will be several SF Green Party candidates to support in November 2008. Ross Mirkarimi, for example, will be up for re-election as District 5 Supervisor. Please help us remain solvent by donating now! http://www.sfgreenparty.org/makeadonation/makeadonation.html
