One more event this Saturday: for those not attending the CA Green
Party's 20th anniversary event in Berkeley, here's another important
opportunity to help out:

Statewide Day of Action to Repeal Prop 8

Date:
Saturday, February 6, 2010
Time:
10:30am - 4:00pm
Location:
Oakland and San Francisco

Join grassroot political leaders, gay activists, soccer moms, Joe Sixpacks,
and other Bay Area residents in Oakland and San Francisco for a statewide
day of action to repeal Proposition 8. We have two goals for the day. The
first is to create a visible support for the marriage equality movement. The
second goal is to collect 100,000 signatures, statewide, to help qualify
language for the November ballot to repeal Proposition 8 this year.

Our visibility will show support and resolve for a movement that includes
the federal court case, and supports a ballot repeal effort regardless of
whether that's in 2010, 2012, or beyond. We need your help to secure
equality for our friends and our selves, and give California the opportunity
to show that it is better than Prop 8

Oakland:
Rockridge BART Station Parking Lot, 10:30 a.m.

San Francisco:
Justin Herman Plaza, 1 Market Street (@ Embarcadero), 11 a.m.
