1. Rally 5 pm TODAY (2/7) 24th & Mission, SF to protest brutalization
of Kevin Clark, 18-year-old college student by SFPD: nearly run over
by motorcycle cops, then thrown to the ground/face mashed into a sewer
grate for a few minutes while another 10-15 cops showed up. Why not

2. After the rally above, head over to nearby Arab Resource &
Organizing Center 2/7 for a 6:30 pm forum on N. Africa/Libya. Hear
current reports from people who have just been there. Connect the dots
between US cops and violence against people of color, and the US
military and African/Middle East people of color. 518 Valencia near
16th St.

3. Saturday, Feb 9th: 11 am-1 pm, Rally at Embarcadero and Market to
protest genetically engineered salmon and raise awareness and
encourage action among folks in San Francisco and beyond. This rally
is being organized by the grassroots group working to pass Prop 37,

4. Sunday, February 10th: Single Payer Now Annual Potluck Labor,
Senior, & National Leaders Speak On Universal Healthcare Minus the
Insurance Industry -- 3 to 5pm, St Mary's Cathedral in SF

5. Monday, February 11th: Rally for Single Payer Healthcare in
Sacramento.  Get on the bus to Sacramento. Rally with the Calif.Health
Professional Student Alliance for single payer healthcare. Help
deliver thousands of postcards asking Governor Brown to support
California Universal Healthcare Act. Call 415-695-7891 to reserve seat
on San Francisco or Berkeley bus and to get morning departure times.

6. No more weapons for SFPD: Monday 2/11-- meet with SF Police
Commission in Bayview to discuss whether SFPD should carry
tasers. Over $1000 each for taser and training equals $2 million
expense. Tasers kill. Teach our cops restorative justice. Bayview
Opera House 4705 3rd St. @ Oakdale, SF. Send your comments to

7. Sunday February 17, 1:00 pm Rally on Keystone XL Pipe Line at One
Market Place. We will encircle the State Dept.  Part of national
