Dear Greens,

    At our meeting last week, we finished making endorsements on
all ballot measures, and we endorsed Joel Ventresca for Mayor!
All details of our endorsements to date, and the official argument
we submitted to the Department of Elections in opposition to Prop D,

    Please join us this Labor Day weekend as we do voter outreach
at Mime Troupe shows in Golden Gate Park and Dolores Park!

What:  Voter outreach at Mime Troupe SF
Where:  Peacock Meadow, Golden Gate Park, SF (Saturday)
Where:  Dolores Park, SF (Monday)
When:  Sat, Aug 31, and Mon, Sep 2, both at 1 pm

Help us register new Greens and find people willing to help win
Medicare for All.  We'll be at the Mime Troupe's show in Golden Gate
Park, on Sat, Aug 31, and at their show in Dolores Park on Labor
Day Monday, Sep 2.  Please email if you can help out cc at sfgreens.org.

We'll set up our table and do voter outreach starting at 1 pm.
The show starts at 2 pm (with music at 1:30).  We'll table some more
after the show.

Note that the Mime Troupe has another show on Sunday in Dolores
Park, but we're not planning to do that one.

What:  Close the Camps - Free our Children

When:  Mon, Sep 16, 11 am - evening

Close the Camps - Free Our Children is a Bay Area grassroots coalition
drawn together by outrage at the horrific mistreatment of immigrants
at our borders, particularly children.  We are people of color,
faith-based groups, community members, artists, citizens and
non-citizens, attorneys, labor, activist, students, parents, allied
organizations and concerned community members that are committed to
closing the camps and freeing innocent children.

What:  SF Green Party Endorsement Meeting
Where:  Redstone Bldg (2940 16th Street, near South Van Ness) SF
When:  Wed, Sep 18, 6:30-9 pm

We will interview all remaining candidates at this meeting, and will
finish making all our endorsement decisions (including D5 Supe, which
we postponed from our August meeting).

Questionnaires have been sent to all candidates for School Board,
College Board, District Attorney, and Public Defender.  The
candidates' answers will be posted on our website after the due date
of September 12.

What:  Save the Date - SF Green Party Monthly Meeting
Where:  Redstone Bldg (2940 16th Street, near South Van Ness) #301, SF
When:  Wed, Sep 25, 7-9 pm

The detailed agenda will be set later.  However, at this time,
we have:

* Visit and Discussion with Howie Hawkins, who is campaigning
  for the Green Party's Presidential nomination in 2020.
  Howie Hawkins is from NY, and is the original author of
  the Green New Deal.

* Finalize our Green Voter Guide and plan campaign outreach
  and events through the November election.

Every 4th Wednesday the SF Green Party meets to discuss issues of
concern, listen to interesting speakers, endorse events, plan outreach
and more!  Everyone welcome.  All meetings are wheelchair accessible.
