Dear Greens,

At our meeting this week, we discussed the efforts to save the
Redstone Building, where our office is located, from redevelopment.
Details of an upcoming fundraiser are below.

We also list upcoming events for the SF Public Banking coalition.
As our former congressional candidate, Ellen Brown, writes in an
article this week, public banking will be an important component of a
Green New Deal:

If you are a KPFA member, see below for our endorsements for
the KPFA Board elections.

Finally, we have endorsed today's ANSWER rally opposing the Trump
regime's attempted coup in Venezuela:

What: ANSWER rally against the Venezuela Coup
Where: 24th & Mission Street BART Station, SF
When: Fri, Jan 25, 5-7 pm

Whether or not you support the current government in Venezuela, it's
clear that a Trump-led coup in that country would be a major disaster!
Come out to protest our government's actions. More info here:

What: Vote for Greens in KPFA Board Elections
Where: Online, for KPFA members

Three Bay Area Green Party members are running for KPFA's "Local
Station Board" election which begins this week!

In addition, Noni Session (who has attended a number of Oakland Greens
meetings, and who served as moderator for the Green Party of Alameda
County's January 13 "Green Sunday" program), is also a candidate.

The SF Green Party has endorsed this entire slate, as have several
other Green Party chapters. In addition, they have been endorsed by
Cindy Sheehan, Michael Parenti, Peter Phillips, Laura Wells, Jack
Heyman, Larry Shoup, Gar Smith, Andres Soto, Joy Moore, Mickey Huff,
and many others. The local group "Rescue Pacifica" is keeping track
of endorsements, and also has the candidates' statements on their
website (along with other election info), here:

Look for recent email with voting instructions from the Pacifica
Foundation (sent by simplyvoting.com) if you are a KPFA member.

Join us as we rally in front of City Hall and then pack the Board of
Supervisors meeting to demand they put a charter amendment on the
November 2019 ballot that would move SF to create a public bank!
