The key is that four departing supervisors are more likely to follow
their own conscience, whereas four newbies will be keeping their heads
down trying not to make anybody mad. This means these newbies will
almost certainly appoint a centrist or even moderate instead of a
progressive. With the current board, we have a chance to do better and
we should go for it. If we succeed it could change San Francisco.
