Hi all,
*Please Forward This Email Widely*
San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee has cynically blocked CleanPowerSF and
released a revised Climate Action Strategy with CleanPowerSF
unacceptably deleted from it!
On September 18, 2012, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, by a
supermajority vote, directed the San Francisco Public Utilities
Commission (SFPUC) to launch the CleanPowerSF program. CleanPowerSF is
planned to immediately give San Franciscans the choice of 100% clean
electricity, and hire hundreds of workers to build community projects to
deliver 50% of that clean electricity from local installations.
But outrageously, Mayor Lee (who has received campaign support from the
fossil fuel utility Pacific Gas & Electric and its high paid political
consultant Willie Brown) has been using his leverage as mayor to prevent
CleanPowerSF from launching.
In his latest attempt to interfere with CleanPowerSF, Mayor Lee has just
released a revised version of the city's Climate Action Strategy with
all references to CleanPowerSF removed!
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Go to the following link to send an email to Mayor Lee and other
decision makers to demand that he restore CleanPowerSF to its rightful
place as the centerpiece of the Climate Action Strategy, and that he
launch CleanPowerSF immediately!

WHAT YOU CAN DO - STEP 2
Attend an important City Hall hearing on CleanPowerSF next week to
deliver your message in person at public comment time.
San Francisco Supervisor John Avalos has called a Monday, March 31
hearing to demand answers on why the mayor is both blocking the launch
of CleanPowerSF and releasing a Climate Action Strategy with
CleanPowerSF deleted from its text.
Here are the hearing details:
Land Use & Economic Development Committee
Room 263, SF City Hall, 1 Dr. Carleton B. Goodlett Place (at Grove & Van
Ness)
Monday, March 31, 2014, 1:30pm
Thanks for your action and support!
