The announcement comes on the heels of long-standing concerns by residents of the Bay View Hunter's Point neighborhood, many of whom point out that the land has not been sufficiently cleaned of hazardous radiation. "The Navy had a responsibility to clean up this site, and they have shirked it," stated Green Party activist and Bay View Hunter's Point resident Charlene Smythe. Predeceased by parents Ben and Claire Milikin; stepmother, Minnie Milikin and stepbrother, Eddie Sheftel. Survived by sister, Ruth Anne Milikin and step-sister, Ruthie Kauffman; brother, Jerry Kroft; nieces, nephew and many cousins. Glib, erudite, and multi-talented, Ted was a musician, songwriter, essayist, photographer, award winning filmmaker,environmental/political/social activist of the left and an avid cyclist. Forever in our hearts. Now at peace.
