EVENTS: Get Out the Vote! When: Now until the election Where: The Sunset, and everywhere else in SF Volunteers are needed in District Four (the Sunset) to do outreach to Green Party Voters. Projected turnout for the November 5th election is expected to be below 30% of all voters in SF. During the next 12 days, in addition to helping Mike Murphy in his campaign for District Four Supervisor, we will work to encourage 50% of Greens to vote. Greater Good Food Fair When: Saturday, October 26th - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Where: Civic Center Plaza The SFGP will have a table at the Greater Good Food Fair in Civic Center Plaza. This free festival celebrates real food--sustainably and fairly grown, and free of genetic modification. The Fair will feature live music, speakers, organic and regionally-produced foods from local businesses, and cooking demonstrations. Panel discussion topics will include Food Integrity in Our Local Systems, Social Responsibility: Pathways to Community Well Being, and Community Gardens Responding to Community Needs. A keynote address by Tezozomoc, community garden advocate and National Defense Council's Growing Green Food Justice Leader of 2013, will highlight the event. Sunday Streets When: Sunday, October 27th - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.- Sunday Streets in the Richmond Where: Clement Street between 5th and 7th Avenues, Richmond Look for the SFGP table on Clement Street between 5th and 7th Avenues after 11 a.m. This is the final Sunday Streets of the year.
