URGENT decisive meeting: New mega soccer fields in Golden Gate Park w/ground tires for a base - 60 ft. light poles - The Coastal Commission's report is just out and they say "NO!" The CCC Staff Report calls for major protections for Golden Gate Park, including protecting the naturalistic character of the park. Some of the staff recommendations include NO artificial turf, scaling down the built elements to blend in with the naturalistic environment, and even removing the existing fence!
