Re: [Delegates] Green Party Plenary delegates
We also only get 2 alternates, not an even no of delegates and alternates. We get an even no. of del and alt at the national meeting. sk -----Original Message----- From: John-Marc Chandonia <jmc@sfgreens.org> Sent: Mar 15, 2004 5:53 PM To: delegates@sfgreens.org Subject: Re: [Delegates] Green Party Plenary delegates Thanks. I've added Terry to this list; Kim was already on it. We get 12 delegates to the US convention (who we haven't picked yet), but only 9 to the plenary. We therefore need to move several people from delegate to alternate, which will need GM approval at this week's meeting. If anybody else doesn't care if they're a delegate or an alternate, let us know; otherwise, we'll discuss it at this week's GM. On Mon, Mar 15, 2004 at 02:27:47PM -0800, June Brashares wrote:

Really? Is this in the bylaws? I thought we could send as many alternates as we wanted, and have sometimes (although rarely) had more than 2 in the past. It seems unfair to the larger counties to have such a small cap on the number of alternates; it should be something more like an equal number of delegates and alterntes.
