Hi, You've been subscribed to this SFGP media list if you're either a CC member or currently active in the media working group. The purpose of this list is to edit and approve action items and press releases to be sent out to a larger group of Green Party members. If you don't want to be on the list, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of this message. At our last meeting, the CC approved a new policy for use of our "action" email list, as the old list was not getting much use and we felt the resource was being wasted. The "action" list is a subset of our newsletter subscribers who wanted to be subjected to more frequent email with action items (such as requests to attend hearings or write letters). We're still aiming for an average of about 1 message per week. An example of the sort of thing we'd send to this list would be a request to attend public meetings such as the recent Redevelopment hearings or a school board meeting, or to write a letter to the editor. Our policy is that any active Green can send a draft announcement to this list, then people on the list reply to all with their edits or simply say "approve." If 3 people approve the final language in an announcement, Erika will send it out to the full list (action@sfgreens.org).
