**should we also post the event as a calendar item on Indymedia and such? Do we want the general public to attend, even non-Greens?
We should invite anybody interested, although of course the facilitators should prioritize questions from the active membership.
**start time - the SFGP web site says 7:30, but I heard it may start at 7.
I corrected the website. It is 7. The special GM the following week starts at 7:30 as usual.
**Who is confirmed to speak?
Tian (Susan may have heard back from others by now).
**Is the intention for the questionnaires to also be made public? Can they be made available to the media upon request? Do we anticipate having all completed questionnaires returned to the SFGP by March 15?
The questionnaires will get posted on our website, but we might not get some of them back until 3/15. I believe the invitation to speak was contingent on the candidate returning the questionnaire; Susan may be able to confirm that.
We should also prepare a release announcing the anticipated endorsements.
I anticipate we'll endorse Barry, Krissy and Laura Wells without contoversy (just my personal guess). We'll probably endorse several of the other statewide candidates the following week, but our protocol (posted on the website on the 3/15 agenda) says we'll try to put off controversial (defined as 2 or more people with concerns) decisions until the following week, when there will be adequate time for discussion. We may want to hold off on a press release until then, or issue a press release after 3/15 with the caveat that some decisions are still ongoing.
I also noticed that our Campaign & Candidates working group info on the web site needs a little updating, and I can help with that as well. We may want to post our 2006 questionnaire on it and certainly update the working group chair contact info.
We may want to wait for the new website to be ready; I hate to put work into the old one when there's so much to be done to get the new one ready.
Regarding the March 29 fundraiser, if we have a place, time and a few confirmed performers we can go ahead and draft a calendar announcement, and I am happy to help. We'll need to have it ready by March 15 to get it into the Guardian. Some other places also have a 2+ week advance deadline. I can also help with VIP lounge and hospitality.
Yes, talk to Micheas on that. JMC -- John-Marc Chandonia (jmc@sfgreens.org) http://sfgreens.org/
