Southern California Edison announced its decision to discontinue efforts to sell the Mojave Generating Station to new owners who would restart the power plant. The Mojave Generating Station itself is not a part of the proposed Black Mesa Project, but the Black Mesa mining operation, coal slurry preparation plant, coal-slurry pipeline, and proposed Coconino water-supply system are dependent on resumption of operation of the power plant.
