Following is what I have put together for transit to the plenary. Please review it for errors and clarity and let me know if there is anything that needs to be modified. Time is of the essence, so I at least need to know if you have concerns, even if you cannot be specific yet, otherwise I will try to get this up on the web by Friday afternoon. Thanks, Don Plenary transportation: Plenary location: California State Building Milton Marks Conference Center (downstairs) 455 Golden Gate Ave (enter through 350 McAllister St) (across from City Hall) Bounded by Polk on the West, Golden Gate Ave. to the North, Larkin on the East and McAllister to the south, adjacent to SF City Hall and the Asian Art Museum. Look for the large park space across from City Hall, which is an underground garage. Marks Center is the large building across the street to the north. How to get there: From SFO Airport BART now extends to the airport. Board SFO BART and proceed to the Civic Center Station. From any exit, go west to the quad (toward the city hall rotunda) and look north. Bus Golden Gate Transit- GG Transit buses from the north stop at Golden Gate and Polk, adjacent to the Federal Building. Go right on Polk to McAllister, turn left and proceed to the entrance at Marks Center. Samtrans- Samtrans busses from San Mateo all go up Mission St. to the Transbay Terminal. Stop at Mission and 7th and walk north to civic center AC Transit- All AC Transit busses go to SF Transbay Terminal. Take either a Mission or Market bus to 7th St./ Civic Center Plaza and proceed to the quad across form city hall and look north. Local MUNI 5 Fulton stops at Polk and McAllister, adjacent to Marks Center. The area is also served by #19, and 21, and nearby the 47, 49 Van Ness and all Market lines. Train Cal Train- From Cal Train terminal in SF, take the 47 bus to Van Ness and McAllister and go east on McAllister to the center. AmTrack- Am Track ends at Berkeley, with a shuttle to San Francisco Transbay terminal. See AC Transit above. Car: From North- Cross Golden Gate Bridge. Stay on Van Ness Av. To McAllister, go left. There is an underground parking garage across McAllister from Marks Center. From East- Cross Bay Bridge, take Civic Center Exit to Hayes and turn right on Larkin From South- Take 280/101 to Sa Francisco Civic Center exit and follow the signs.
