I think you're confusing 2 issues: Steve Willis volunteered to staff a Transportation Working Group table at the plenary. That sounds great; other groups that want to put literature on the table (e.g., SFBC) should coordinate with him. Don seems to have volunteered for something related to transportation to/from the plenary. He could coordinate with SFBC to provide bike parking, make sure he knows how to get there on MUNI, etc, but this has nothing to do with the TWG. We are ready with the Environmental Justice workshop, but need to request that it happen on Sunday, any time, due to a scheduling conflict with one of our panelists. On Saturday will be the conference in Bayview/Hunter's point on energy and the Naval Yard cleanup. Pelosi and Boxer have ben invited, among other Dems, and it would be nice if one or more of the Green candidates there would want to attend for a short time during the day Saturday We are working to find out when would be a good tine to send a contingent, and I will have my car there and would be able to transport two or three who are interested.
I am also coordinating note taking for the plenary, so am asking anyone who can help take notes on a section, let me know. There is stipend money available.
I also need more info on what I am getting myself in to being responsibe for transportation.

1. Coordinate a workshop to be presented Saturday or Sunday as part of our parellel track (workshops for activists during plenary discussions for delegates). So far, we have: PLEASE confirm that you can do these workshops if you are listed:
Don E is working on a energy/Hunter's Point presentation; (Energy Working Group) Dave Wilbur on housing issues; Dave Snyder on Transportation for Liveable Cities; Christina Olague and Richard Marquez Organizing in communities of color Carlos Petroni on Immigrant Voting Rights
Please let me know if you would like to offer a workshop so we can arrange for this to be added. It would be great to have a variety of issues and workshops that represent issues that our many working groups are working on(Election reform, Police Reform, LGBTQ movement, Women in Politics, Media organizing, etc.)
2. Table at the event. We have a large lobby available, and each WG may set up a table or share a table with issues and working group info. Please let me know so I can have enough tables set up. Host locals usually set up a merchandise table to sell stuff, which brings in extra cash.
3. Pre convention event: FIG and Mixed Greens proposed a pre meeting happy hour. Please let me know if this is happening, and where, so we can promote it. All working groups and activists are encouraged to do outreach to get folks to the meeting and Saturday event.
4. Help put the event on: We have had a hearty group of activists working on this, and will need lots of volunteers on the ground to help with sign in, catering help, set up (minimal), clean up (not janitorial, just trash pick up), Sat night event assistance.
