Whereas, Home Depot promises new jobs, it will also put existing (often locally owned) small firms out of business, taking money out of the community and eliminating jobs, and
Whereas, Home Depot boasts of its "Union-free" environment having no unions in its 805 stores
Therefore, be it resolved that the San Francisco Green Party advise the Board of Supervisors to reject the Planning Commission's approval of Home Depot's EIR - and demand a better deal for the citizens of San Francisco.
