Reminder: What: Celebration of Workd Carfree Day!!!! What can I say? I'm an optimist! How: With a screening of "The End of Suburbia," followed by a panel discussion on peak oil and what that means for transportation in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Panelists: District 5 Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi, long-time public power advocate and current chair of LafCo Post-Carbon Institute Director of North American Operations, Dave Room San Francisco Bicycle Coalition Executive Director Leah Shahum Where: The Red Victorian Bed and Breakfast, 1665 Haight Street at Belvedere (NOT the theater) When: Thursday, September 22 What time: I will be there at about 5:30 to set up. I don't think we are going to have to do a lot in the way of setting up. We'll start the DVD at about 6:30, we'll have a break at about 7:45, and then we'll start the panel discussion at about 8 p.m. We will need a couple of people to be at the two doors to direct people into the Community Room of the Bed and Breakfast. We'll need others to staff the Green Party table with Mark Barns, and a tech savvy person to operate the DVD projector (otherwise we're stuck with me). Thanks everyone for all your help.
