Thanks for the info, Dave. I support the program, since it proves free transit will benefit business (thus defusing one of business' arguments against tilting the balance away from cars towards transit). We'll need on the order of $100 million/yr for free MUNI, less than 2% of the City's budget, but not chump change either. I think we need to find the money for both bike lanes and free MUNI.
