The TWG will be holding an event on the evening of September 22, World Car-Free Day, at the Red Victorian Bed and Breakfast, 1665 Haight Street. We will be having a free screening of the documentary The End of Suburbia, followed by a panel discussion with District 5 Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and others. Your name was mentioned as someone who would be an excellent panelist on a discussion of declining access to energy and transportation issues. We have done this event two other times. Our other panelists have been Richard Heinberg (author of The Party's Over and Powerdown), former gubernatorial candidate Peter Camejo, Amber Crabbe of the Transportation and Land Use Coalition, and Kate White of the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition. Dave Room, of the Post-Carbon Institute has moderated the panel discussions, but I am inviting him to appear on the September 22 panel (he has not yet gotten back to me).
