Fare increases, service cuts, and parking fee and fine increases have been proposed to address the gap. Rescue Muni has already taken a position in favor of higher parking fees and fines to reduce the need for service cuts, as well as longer-term revenue measures such as an increase in the parking tax, but we would like to give our members a more detailed briefing on what is facing Muni this year. So we've invited the MTA's Deputy General Manager, STUART SUNSHINE, to present Muni's estimate of the budget and the options on the table.
