Our very own San Francisco Green June Brashares was in the San Francisco Chronicle on Friday.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2004/09/03/MNGGU8JAC01.DTL

June interrupted President Bush's speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night, and was promptly hauled off by security guards. The story was also picked up by the Associated Press
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/news/archive/2004/09/03/state1847EDT0126.DTL
I am sure June and others will have lots of stories to tell when they return to San Francisco!

Check out http://www.sanfranciscosentinel.com for the latest news on District 5 and other campaigns.

Savannah Blackwell wrote about the District 5 debate at http://www.Sfprogressives.com.

Green Party Presidential Candidate David Cobb is interviewed in the September issue of Z Magazine. The article is only available online to subscribers, but you can find lots of other news at their public web site http://www.zmag.org/weluser.htm.

PAT GRAY FOR CONGRESS UPDATE:
The Pat Gray for Congress Campaign has been active walking precincts in both San Francisco and San Mateo. The campaign is mobilizing volunteers out of their office in South San Francisco each weekend. Come by anytime from 10 AM until 2 PM to pick up materials. The office is located at 212A Miller Avenue in South San Francisco, just a short block west of 101 and the train tracks. Residents of Congressional District 12 can "adopt your own precinct", in which case materials can be brought to you. Please email patgray.green at att.net if you can do your neighborhood. House signs are also now available! http://www.patgray.org

TERRY BAUM FILES WITH SUPREME COURT:
Green Party congressional candidate Terry Baum announced Thursday that she has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene and immediately place her on the November ballot in the 8th Congressional District, now held by House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. Terry has been fighting a legal battle to get on the ballot since the March 2004 elections, when she ran a write-in campaign. Terry recieved over 1600 write-in votes, but a few voters neglected to connect the arrows next to her name. This technicality caused the San Francisco Department of Elections to decline to place Terry's name on the ballot. Terry is still fighting to ensure that all votes are counted. http://www.terrybaum.com

National Committee positions may be appointed by the GPUS-CA Standing Delegation during monthly teleconference; appointments are considered temporary until the next state plenary (*December 2004 tentative:Ventura), when these appointments can be affirmed by the GPCA General Assembly.

National CC Delegates and Alternates will be voted on at the next State Plenary*

If you have interest in putting your name forward, please contact one of the GPUS CA Delegation Co-Coordinators:
