Please note that the Candidates for Supervisor Forum, previously scheduled
for September 13, has been postponed until September 27. The Special General
Meeting will be held September 29. See more in events section.
Nativo Lopez, President of the Mexican American Political Association (MAPA),
publicly threw his support to the Green Party this week. MAPA is a
multi-partisan advocacy group, formed in 1960, with chapters throughout the state and
U.S. representing the Mexican, Mexican-American and Latino communities. Read

Look for Lisa Feldstein, candidate for District Five Supervisor, to appear on
the "Comcast Local Edition" of CNN Headline News from October 1st through
Election Day. "Comcast Local Edition," hosted by Jack Hanson, airs at 25 and 55
minutes after the hour, two times a day, on CNN Headline News. Lisa has the #2
endorsement slot in District 5 from the San Francisco Green Party.

Massive Campaign Mobilizations for Ross Mirkarimi for Supervisor. Celebrate
the office expansion, listen to inspiring speakers, eat yummy food, and reach
thousands of District 5 voters as the campaign ramps up! Come to the
Horseshoe Cafe, located at 568 Haight Street, between Fillmore and Steiner Streets.
Please call the campaign office at 415-863-4908 to let us know that you'll be
there. The campaign needs volunteers every day, morning and night - so please
help out in whatever ways you can. Ross has the #1 endorsement slot in District

Join us for a great day of fun at the Power to the Peaceful Festival! The San
Francisco Green Party will have a booth - to help staff the booth, contact

year by the visionary musician, international speaker and human rights worker,
Michael Franti and his group Spearhead with Guerrilla Management. The all-day
concert begins with yoga at 10 AM, which will be followed by musical performers

Join Susan King for a pre- Power to the Peaceful gathering at her house,
located at 484 Frederick Street near Stanyan. There will be coffee, bagels, and
juice from 9:15 - 10:15 AM before heading to the park to distribute literature
for Susan, who is the SFGP's #3 endorsed candidate for District 5 Supervisor.

Keeping Our School Age School-Community Dialog on how the entire community
needs to work together to help our school age children to grow safely and
successfully. Speakers include: Cedric Yap, Mayor's Liaison to School; School Board
Member Mark Sanchez and School Board Member Eric Mar. Event takes place at the
Southeast Community Facility, Alex Pitcher Community Room, 1800 Oakdale

911 Power to the Peaceful Social Justice Forum
This event takes place from 11 AM - 5 PM at the CELLspace, located at 2050
Bryant Street between 18th and 19th Streets in San Francisco. Come out to
connect with other concerned and inspired people who want to take a stand for
justice. The day will begin with a participatory dialogue with Peter Camejo and Tom
Ammiano about the upcoming elections.
There will be workshops throughout the day that anyone can attend and
contribute to:

San Francisco Green Party General Meeting
The meeting starts at 7:30 PM and will be held at the SFGP office, located at
1028 A Howard Street between 6th and 7th Streets in San Francisco. Agenda for
this meeting includes endorsement decisions for the rest of the ballot
propositions, school board and community college board. Please read the agenda at

there will be very limited time to discuss each one.

Kick-off for Baum for Congress
This is the official kick-off party for Terry Baum, Green Party candidate in
Congressional District 8. Party takes place from 6 - 9 PM at The Lab, located
at 2948 16th Street at Mission. There will be live music, belly dancing,

Free Art in the Park for Kids, Precita Park, Treat and Cesar Chavez from 10
AM - 1 PM. Free art activities for kids with tips on how parents can use art to
help students in school. School Board Members Mark Sanchez and Eric Mar will
also be talking about the importance of teaching art in all schools.

is hosted by Samantha Chanse. Doors open at 8 PM; show at 9 PM. Donation is
