* Berkeley Bike Day: Saturday, May 10, 10:30 a.m.­2:30 p.m. 
Berkeley Farmer's Market, Center Street between Milvia and MLK Way, Berkeley 
The Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition presents the 6th-annual Bike Day at the Farmer's Market, featuring workshops for cyclists of all levels on bike security, riding safely, Bay Area bike routes for both leisure and commuting and hands-on bicycle repair. * Free Palestine, Peace and Solidarity Festival: May 10, 12-6 p.m. 
SF Civic Center, Polk & Grove/McAllister
Commemorate 60 years of struggle and resistance of the Palestinian "catastrophe," which marks the expulsion, dispossession and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.  Free hip-hop show and cultural festival, with special performances by Boots Riley, NaR, Mamaz, Kiwi, Politikal Heat, Rithmatik, Patriarch and DJ Emancipacion with MCs Noura Erakat and Maysoon Zayid.

Presidential candidate Ralph Nader is a consumer advocate, lawyer, author and has been named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Americans in the 20th Century. For over four decades, Nader has exposed problems and organized millions of citizens into more than 100 public interest groups to advocate for solutions. His efforts have helped to create a framework of laws, regulatory agencies and federal standards that have improved the quality of life for two generations of Americans. The nonprofit, grassroots organization POOR Magazine presents an open house and launch party for their summer seminars at the Race, Poverty and Media Justice Institute.  Beginning June 3, seminars and workshops on poverty journalism, community organizing, advocacy and multimedia production will be open to students, media professionals and more. As president of San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors, Vice Presidential Candidate Matt Gonzalez helped to install rank-choice voting and raise the San Francisco minimum wage. In 2003, he ran for San Francisco mayor in a controversial election, just barely losing to Gavin Newsom. An unorthodox politician and local lawyer, Gonzalez plans to shake up the 2008 presidential race and reframe the dialogue.
