* James Madison Awards Banquet: Wednesday, March 18, 5:30pm; $50/members-students, $70/others
New Delhi Restaurant, 160 Ellis St.
The Society of Professional Journalists, NorCal Chapter, will honor champions of the First Amendment at its 24th Annual James Madison Freedom of Information Awards. A no-host reception at 5:30 p.m. will be followed by the dinner and awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m.  For more information and the list of winners, go to www.spjchapters.org/norcal.
