Mirkarimi's appointment to the CA Coastal Commission, and Dave Snyder's
appointment to the Golden Gate Bridge Commission!* Two important bodies
which have the power to influence important environmental decisions in our
region.

Join us for a night of fun and celebration at Madrone, an art lounge
featuring exhibits of emerging and established artists of all types
including painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, video, film,
design, fashion, spoken word, and dance. Currently showing new art by:
Dennis Mcnulty “So the city crawled out from its’ hiding place” - A large
scale wall art piece.
AND
Alphonzo Solorzano “Dont Go Behind The Clouds” -A series of recent mixed
media works & installation.
Live music, djs, specialty infused cocktails, a full bar with a great happy
hour from 5-8pm, and a few inspirational words from some of our city's most
dedicated political leaders!

* *TONIGHT! Green Screen Free Thursday Theater: "The Wrestler"* Thursday,
May 21st, 7-10 PM
Mickey Rourke (in a Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated role) stars as
retired professional wrestler Randy "The Ram" Robinson, who returns to the
ring and tries to work his way up the circuit for a final shot at defeating
his longtime rival. Along the way, he tries to reconnect with his daughter,
Stephanie (Evan Rachel Wood), while exploring a relationship with a stripper
named Cassidy (Marisa Tomei, also nominated for a Golden Globe and Oscar).
Doors and happy half hour at 7:00, showtime 7:30
Stereo sound and a projector for the big screen feel. Organic vegan popcorn
and snacks provided! Beer, cocktails, wine, and more available for a
donation or feel free to bring your own!

The Green Party of the United States is pleased to announce that the 2009
Annual National Meeting will be held on the campus of North Carolina Central
University in Durham, NC. Check it out if you're interested in this year's
largest national gathering of Greens to make new friends, network, and help
grow the Green Party nationally and in your community.
