ENDORSEMENTS for November 5 election:

At our August monthly meeting, we endorsed NO on Prop A (health trust
fund modification), as well as NO on B and C (condos for
millionaires). We endorsed YES on Prop D, a statement in favor of
cheaper prescription drugs. We are writing longer statements about
all of these, which will be posted on our website.

We will be holding a candidate forum at our September meeting, and may
make additional endorsements in the District 4 (Sunset) Supervisor's
race and citywide campaigns. This is tentatively scheduled for
Wednesday evening, September 25. Location and exact time TBA. We are
looking into several locations in the Sunset. We have sent candidate
questionnaires to all District 4 Supervisor candidates--if you are
supporting any of them, please remind them to return their
questionnaire by September 20, so it can be posted on our website
before the forum. If you are a candidate and need more info, please
email cc at sfgreens.org or call Erika McDonald at 337-1499.

*===========================*

Dr. Jill Stein was the Green Party 2012 candidate for president of the
United States. She is a mother, physician, and pioneering
environmental-health advocate who has been on the front lines of battles to
stop tar sands oil, fracking and nuclear power, and to create 25 million
healthy, green jobs instead. She has worked to get big money out of
politics, to provide health care and education as human rights, to end
student debt, home foreclosures, wars for oil, Wall Street bail outs, and
tax giveaways for the wealthy.

Dr. Stein now serves as President of the Green Shadow Cabinet, which
watchdogs and debunks the corporate-sponsored political establishment, and
raises the bar for solutions that are available to us right now. Dr. Stein
is a Harvard trained clinical doctor who served for decades as an
instructor in internal medicine. Now she practices "political medicine",
addressing the "mother of all illnesses" - the moribund political system
that needs emergency resuscitation to start healing all the all the other
things that are literally killing us.
