Dear Greens,

    You're invited to our post-holiday party this afternoon, as well
as our first meeting of the year, on Jan 23rd.  Greens are also active
in the SF Public Bank Coalition, and several of the group's upcoming
meetings and events are listed below.

    County Council member Barry Hermanson wrote an article in the SF
Bayview newspaper about the Green New Deal and the importance of
growing the Green Party:

What:  Green Holiday Party
Where:  Far Out Gallery, 3004 Taraval, SF
When:  Sat, Jan 12, 4-6 pm

Celebrate the New Year with us at our Green post-holiday party!  We'll
provide beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and a variety of snacks
including some homemade treats.  There's no charge for the event,
but donations are welcome!

The Far Out Gallery is located on the L-Taraval Muni Metro line,
very close to the 40th Ave stop in the Outer Sunset.

Everybody is invited: people of all ages and political affiliations
are welcome.  The event is wheelchair accessible.

Greens are continuing our efforts to build social housing in SF!
Here's information about the next meeting of the SF Community Housing
Act coalition, which is being spearheaded by the Berniecrats:

2019 will be a pivotal year for our fight for universal social
housing, as we finalize the new version of the SFCHA, grow the
Coalition for Universal Social Housing, and ramp up our outreach and
organizing efforts even more.  Our first meeting of this year will be
*next Thursday January 17, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, at 3511 16th St

Where:  Redstone Bldg (2940 16th Street, near South Van Ness) #301, SF

The agenda will be set at the CC meeting the week before.

Every 4th Wednesday the SF Green Party meets to discuss issues of
concern, listen to interesting speakers, endorse events, plan outreach
and more!  Everyone welcome.  All meetings are wheelchair accessible.

Many Greens attended the "People vs Wall St" public banking
kickoff last Thursday.

Come to the first SF Public Bank Coalition meeting of the new year, where
we'll recap #ThePeopleVsWallSt + talk about the working committees +
plan for the 1/29 day of action!

When:  Tues, Jan 29, 2-5 pm

Save the date for a SF Public Bank day of action on the 29th.

Join us as we rally in front of City Hall and then pack the Board of
Supervisors meeting to demand they put a charter amendment on the
November 2019 ballot that would move SF to create a public bank!
