Dear Greens,
Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, our November monthly meeting
was moved up by a week, to tonight! Please note the room change in
the detailed agenda, below. In addition to reviewing the SF election
results, we're pleased to host a discussion with Dario Hunter, who is
one of the candidates seeking the Green Party's nomination as our
Presidential candidate in 2020!
Hunter is an international environmental lawyer, and also a rabbi.
He serves on the school board in Youngstown, OH as an elected Green.
He's a member of Jewish Voice for Peace, as well as a delegate to the
Green Party's national committee on behalf of the Lavender Greens
caucus.

Where: Redstone Bldg (2940 16th Street, near South Van Ness) #217, SF
When: Wed, Nov 20, 7-9 pm
Note that we've moved the meeting up a week due to Thanksgiving,
and we will be meeting in a different room, 217, this month.
Agenda:
* Introductions
* Visit and Discussion with Dario Hunter, who is campaigning for the
Green Party's Presidential nomination in 2020. We'll discuss with
Hunter his plans for the 2020 campaign, how he plans to build the
Green Party, and any other issues you would like to raise.
* SF Election Results and Analysis
* Announcements
Every 4th Wednesday the SF Green Party meets to discuss issues of
concern, listen to interesting speakers, endorse events, plan outreach
and more! Everyone welcome. All meetings are wheelchair accessible.

What: Extinction Rebellion Community Meeting on Wildfires
Where: Unitarian church, 1187 Franklin St, SF
When: Sat, Nov 23, 1-4 pm
XR is hosting a community meeting on Saturday, Nov 23 at the Unitarian
Universalist Society in SF:

This meeting will be based on developing affinity groups and mutual
aid networks in our neighborhoods, so we can build community with the
people who live close by and support one another as climate disasters
such as wildfires continue to unfold.

Where: Beat Museum, 540 Broadway, SF
When: Sat, Nov 23, 7 pm
Several Greens will be among the poets at "World Without Wars," in
celebration of the publication of the 6th Overthrowing Capitalism
Anthology.

What: Run for Green County Council
Where: Department of Elections, City Hall
When: Now through Dec 6
Are you interested in helping to lead the SF Green Party? Any SF
Green can run for our County Council by picking up nomination papers
from the Department of Elections in City Hall. This election isn't
until March 2020, but you only have until this Dec 6 to turn in your
paperwork with 20 signatures from registered Greens. To qualify,
you must have been registered Green for at least 1 year.
If you have your paperwork already, come to our monthly meeting
on Nov 20 to get signatures from other Greens.
