Dear Greens,

You are invited to a party this Saturday evening for Francisco
Herrera, our candidate for Mayor! The party is in the space that used
to be a Hyundai dealership, at the corner of 16th St and South Van
Ness (near the 16th St BART). The address is 475 South Van Ness Ave.

What: Party for Francisco Herrera
When: Sat, Aug 22, 6-9 pm
Where: 475 S Van Ness Ave, at the corner of 16th St

Francisco is a longtime activist from the Mission. His platform is
for truly affordable housing, liveable wages, Sanctuary City
protections, extending Healthy San Francisco to all, environmental
justice, and more. Please give your vote to Francisco this November.

Please also consider donating to his campaign. If they can raise $50K
by 8/24, the mayor's office will contribute double the amount raised.
(E.g.: If 2,000 people donate $25 each, totalling $50,000 - the
minimum required by the matching program - the City will give an
additional $100,000 to the campaign. This means that your $25 will
become $75!)

Make checks out to "Francisco Herrera for Mayor" and mail to 2467 28th
Ave., San Francisco, CA 94116. Pay with credit cards at
http://peoplescampaign.net. Or come to our party and donate.
There's no cost to attend, but donations will be gratefully accepted!

Our candidate forum is scheduled for next Wed, Aug 26!

What: Candidate forum and endorsement meeting
When: Wed, Aug 26, 7-9 pm
Where: Redstone Building, 2940 16th Street, at S Van Ness Ave, Room #302

We have emailed questionnaires to all candidates for Supervisor,
Mayor, and College Board who gave their contact info to the Department
of Elections. Other candidates for these offices (e.g., write-in
candidates) who are seeking our endorsement should contact us at
cc at sfgreens.org to obtain a questionnaire. We will consider making
ranked choice endorsements for Supervisor and Mayor, but voters will
only be able to make one choice for College Board. Questionnaires are
due this Wed, August 19.

If you know of a local candidate you think Greens should support,
please have them get in touch with us.

We will invite all candidates who return completed questionnaires
on time to speak and answer questions at our candidate forum and
endorsement meeting, on August 26 from 7-9 pm. This forum is open to
the public, and everybody is invited! Our forum and endorsement
meeting will take place in room 302 of Redstone Building, located at
2940 16th Street (between Mission and South Van Ness, 1 block from
16th St BART). Completed questionnaires will be posted on our
website a week before the forum:

We will make all our remaining endorsements, including propositions,
at this meeting.
