    Some upcoming events for our local and national Green Party
candidates are listed below - Jill Stein will be in town for a major
event on Thursday, October 6, along with local Supervisorial candidate

    The Alameda, Contra Costa, and SF Green Parties have all endorsed
the "United for Community Radio" (UCR) team of candidates for the
current KPFA Local Station Board elections.  The election deadline is
fast approaching, so we strongly recommend that you put your ballot in
the mail no later than this coming Friday, Sep 23.  If you're a KPFA

What:  "Water is Life" anti-DAPL event at SF State
Where:  SF State University (Malcolm X Plaza), 1600 Holloway Ave, SF
When:  Thurs, Sep 22, 7-10 pm

There will be a screening/discussion and donation drive September 22,
2016 (this Thursday) at SFSU Malcolm X Plaza.  We will be giving
knowledge on Standing Rock and expand the conversations on ways we
could help and end the continuous attack on indigenous land.

Outdoor Screening: A GOOD DAY TO DIE (2010) directed by David Mueller,
Lynn Salt.  AIM leader Dennis Banks looks back at his early life and the
rise of the American Indian Movement.

Where:  Slate Bar, 2925 16th St (near South Van Ness), SF
When:  Fri, Sep 23, 5:30-7:30 pm

Fox Business will host a town hall with Jill Stein on September 23 at
6:00 p.m. PT.  It's time to build a people's movement to end
unemployment and poverty; avert climate catastrophe; build a
sustainable, just economy; and recognize the dignity and human rights
of every person.  The power to create this new world is not in our
hopes; it's not in our dreams, it's in our hands.  Help build the
Green Party, help end two-party duopoly system, help build a third

What:  Francisco Herrera campaigning
Where:  District 11, various locations
When:  Every day, 4-8 pm, and Thursdays 10 am-noon

Francisco Herrera's campaign for District 11 Supervisor is having
daily events, for which he needs volunteers.  From 4-6 pm every day,
Francisco and his volunteers are holding "office hours" in order to be
more visible in the district.  From 6-8 pm every day (and Thursday
mornings from 10 am-noon), they'll be walking precincts in the Excelsior,
Crocker-Amazon, Ingleside, Oceanview, and Outer Mission neighborhoods.

When:  Thurs, Oct 6, 6-10 pm

Join us for an evening of Revolutionary Poetry, Music, and Politics
with Green Party Presidential Candidate, Dr. Jill Stein and Candidate
for SF Board of Supervisors District 11, Francisco Herrera at The
Chapel, 777 Valencia St., SF CA.  Local (and some not-so-local)
luminaries will light up The Chapel stage October 6, 2016 from 6-10pm
(Doors at 5pm).  Both Dr. Jill Stein and Francisco Herrera will speak.
