We'll also be doing voter outreach this Labor Day at the SF Mime

*===========================*

What: Candidate forum and endorsement meeting
Where: Redstone Bldg (2940 16th Street, near South Van Ness) #301, SF
When: Wed, September 7, 6:30-9 pm

The SF Green Party has invited all candidates who returned completed
questionnaires on time to speak and answer questions at our candidate
forum and endorsement meeting (Wed, Sep 7 from 6:30 - 9 pm). Please
note the earlier start time. We hope to finish all candidate
interviews by around 8, then decide on endorsements.

The event is open to the public and all are invited!

Please read candidates' answers to our questionnaires in advance, so we don't ask them questions they've already answered on the record:

and non-vaccinated people. We provide the option for SF Green Party

Keeping rental housing empty is one way landlords manipulate the
housing market. At this forum we will discuss local ballot measures
for an empty homes tax. We will also examine rent control and other
affordable housing policies; and look at the battle over Howard
Terminal in Oakland, which is really about gentrification and real
estate profits, not about a ball park. Moderated by Marsha Feinland,
former Berkeley Rent Board Commissioner.

Gwen McLaughlin – member of San Francisco Democratic Socialists of
America working on the Empty Homes Tax initiative

Steve Barton – retired City of Berkeley Housing Director and Deputy
Director of the Rent Board; currently on the Board of the Bay Area
Community Land Trust

Michael Rubin – member of the Socialist group Solidarity and the
Oakland Greens

John-Marc Chandonia – San Francisco Green Party County Council

Organizations listed for identification purposes only. This event is
sponsored by the Oakland Greens, Bay Area System Change Not Climate
Change, and the Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party. For more
information, email info at sudssnackssocialism.org.
