To answer Dan's question, the GPCA already registered a block of
registrations (I think at the $50 rate) in order to save money, as the
registration fee goes up with time. As I understand it, the SFGP is
supposed to pay this $600 to the GPCA, and then collect the money from
the delegates. I'll try to get clarification on the exact procedure
this weekend; I wasn't on the SFGP CC when this took place, so I don't
know what (if any) instructions were sent by the GPCA treasurer to
CC members. I'll get back to you on this, but don't register yourself
separately with the USGP for now.
As regional rep, I'm responsible for telling the GPCA who our
delegates are, along with a bunch of personal info. The delegate
submission form says: "If you are providing information about
delegates selected for your county, please be sure to include: Full
name; birthdate; home address, including city and zip; phone and fax
numbers; e-mail address; any candidate each delegate is committed to,
if any; and the name and phone of a county councilmember who can be
contacted for verification." I recommend that each delegate go to
http://cagreens.org/delegates/ and read all the stuff there, then
submit your own personal info using the form provided on that page.
Just write in the comment field that I already submitted you as a
delegate and you're filling in all the other info they want. You
can use my name & phone number (415-285-5696) as a contact for
verification, although they shouldn't have to verify you again since
I already officially submitted your names.
Thanks,
JMC

Hi,
I've recycled the address "delegates(a)sfgreens.org" as
a mailing list for delegates to the GPUS nominating convention
to communicate with each other. You're all one it, and I'll add
the other 3 if they're confirmed. See the info at the bottom
of this message for details on how to unsubscribe or view the
list archives.
Note that in June there will also be a state convention,
and I might just put all delegates together on this list if that wouldn't
be too confusing. I think having two separate addresses like
"delegates-us" and "delegates-ca" might be even more confusing.
