Biofuels, Free Muni, SF Transit plan, the Latest Rider Fare Crackdown (I was actually handcuffed and ticketed for refusing to be searched...) I am troubled by the huge extent this article depended- quoted pretty much the whole thing word for word - a propaganda piece aimed at discrediting CCA issued by PG&E. First, it is full of the kinds of disinformation PG&E is famous for. PG&E has a history of fighting dirty. In 2000, these same falsehoods were published on SF newspaper front pages in an article issued by a PG&E front group on election day. The $20 thousand fine they gladly paid saved them millions. The 360 Mw pledge, to provide that amount of conservation and renewable energy to meet city energy needs as quickly as possible is doable. Once built- using revenue bond money for renewable energy that SF voters DID approve in 2000- residents will have that much protection from the erratic costs of fossil fuels in energy production. What troubles me most, though, legislation that instituted CCA included prohibitions against local utilities using their deep pockets to influence the debate. You are complicit!

Ok all, we've finally got some clarity. Below you will see the schedule of this weekend's California Green Party two day plenary. Important Note: There are currently two proposed agendas which are sort of mixed together below. We should do our presentation/workshop during one of the times that is consistent for both versions. I think we should go for Saturday (because people will be worn out on Sunday) and I think we should avoid the 10:10-11:45 am time slot, because it is a virtual certainty that everybody will still be arguing about the agenda all the way up until lunch time. My recommendation is that we go at 2:25-3:30 pm which Susan rightly notes will be a great time for a workshop. Anyway, Jeanne, since you're headlining it, what is your preference.
