Here are questions the TWG came up with. Sorry about the
relatively unedited state; I hope somebody from the group can come on
Sunday night to help hash these questions out. I can't, as I'll be
in Atlanta until Sunday night. (there's a remote possibility I'll
get back in time to come to the meeting late)
1) How would you address current and future MUNI budget problems?
Please be specific... what type of charter reform, service cuts,
or additional revenue sources would you support?
2) Are there any circumstances under which you would support the
construction of a parking garage in a public park?
3) And how do you think the City's Transit First policy squares with
the Green Party ten key values and how would you help realize this
vision? (kind of an open-ended question that lets candidates get away
with a lot)
4) Other garages are also in the works. One is being planned down
near the new Mills complex by the water. WHere does the candidate
stand on this?
5) How do you stand on Saturday street closure of Golden Gate Park?

I was also surprised by this. It seems they were working on passing this
shortly before the March 2 primary.

I wanted to invite you to a Progressive Transportation Summit
the San Francisco Green Party is planning for two Sundays in a row on
May 16 and May 23, from 11-2 each day. We are gathering experts to
help us inform our transportation platform, and we are not concerned
about party affiliation. We will hold panels on:
Transit Justice
MUNI/regional transit
Taxis
Bikes
Pedestrian safety
Streets & cars
Parking
The exact schedule is still flexible; I think the 1st 3 will be on Day
1, and the last 4 on Day 2. I was hoping you'd be interested in being
on the ... panel because of ... Would you be interested?
