Where: On Fulton between the main library and the Asian Art Museum When: Sat-Sun, June 29-30, all day We'll need volunteers for voter outreach at Pride. Our booth will be on Fulton between the main library and the Asian Art Museum, both days. Our booth number is 18225, on the side of the street nearest the library ("M" block). Email cc(a)sfgreens.org to let us know if you can volunteer. The event officially starts at noon on Saturday and 11 am on Sunday, and goes until around 5 pm both days. *===========================* What: KPFA voter deadline Where: online, https://secure.kpfa.org/support/ When: by Sun, June 30 As you probably know, KPFA is a very important Bay Area progressive media resource. Please help elect Green Party members (and Green-friendly candidates) to KPFA's Local Station Board (LSB) later this summer, starting on August 15. However, to vote, you must be a KPFA member no later than this coming Sunday, June 30. You can become a member by donating $25 (or more) to the station here: https://secure.kpfa.org/support/ (You're already a member if you donated $25 or more since July 1st of last year.) To make a presentation or gain the SFGP endorsement of events and issues, please contact our SFGP County Council at: cc(a)sfgreens.org *===========================* What: Talk on Emma Goldman Where: Oscar Grant Plaza, 500 14th St., Oakland When: Sun, June 23, 4 pm In Honor of her 150th birthday: Emma Goldman: Her Legacy, Anarchy, and Complexities, and Occupy By Candace Falk, Founding Editor/Director,The Emma Goldman Papers, UC Berkeley Candace will speak about Emma Goldman, her legacy, her complexities, and the often misunderstood range of her definition of anarchism, and the spontaneity and collaborative nature of Occupy that resonates with her imagined vision of the future. Candace is founding editor of the Emma Goldman Papers at UC Berkeley, which has collected, identified, and published 22,000 documents by and about Emma Goldman, and which is now available on open access through archive.org. Other upcoming events are also listed below. What: Voter outreach at Haight St Fair Where: South Side of Haight St between Belvedere & Cole, SF When: Sunday, June 9, 10:30 am - 5:30 pm We'll be doing voter outreach, registering new Greens, and helping to organize for Single Payer Healthcare for All in California. We'll need volunteers to help staff our table, sign up volunteers, and register new Greens! Our booth location is D12S, on the south side of Haight St between Belvedere and Cole. The fair runs from 11 am - 5:30 pm, and we also need volunteers to set up at 10:30 am and break down between 5:30 and 6 pm. Please email cc(a)sfgreens.org if you can help! *===========================* What: SF Green Party CC Meeting Where: Muddy Waters Cafe, 521 Valencia St (@16th St), SF When: Wed, June 19, 7:30 - 9 pm Join our County Council as we set the agenda for our monthly meeting the following week. We will also be making some decisions on directing our Green Party of California delegation in the statewide party elections and any other votes they will need to cast before our monthly meeting.
